* Springfield Police Department
The Springfield Police Department provides law enforcement services to a population of approximately 9,100 residents, covering 49 square miles. Each year the Department responds to roughly 5,000 calls for service. The Springfield Police Department is a 24/7 police operations department. We currently are authorized 16 full time sworn officers and 4 full-time dispatchers.

* Rutland City Police Department
The Rutland Police Department has been offering the Drug Abuse and Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) for the past 11 years. In the last four years, the police have employed two sworn officers as School Resource Officers at the high school level and at the Intermediate and Middle School level. A DARE introduction is given in the spring of each year at the Elementary School level.
